EXAMINATION POLICY (CBSE &
MAPS-i wing(Cambridge International Examinations)
Under CCE policy continuous evaluation of the child is done throughout the year in scholastic,co-scholastic and co-curricular activities.
  • It is compulsory for students of I-XII to maintain a minimum of 85% attendance during the course of an academic session for appearing in the term-end examination.
  • If a student is found using any unfair means during tests/exams, the answer script will be cancelled and no marks will be awarded for the same.
  • No marks will be awarded in case a student is absent or avails half day leave on the day of examination/unit tests except on medical grounds/ that too only if absenteeism is supported by medical certificate duly deposited on /before the exam/test day or in case of competition-participation.
  • In case of absenteeism even if the student has missed more than one exam/test, retest will be conducted for one subject only.
  • If a student takes the leave on the day before F.A.’s five marks will be deducted from marks scored in that subject.
  • Duplicate evaluation sheet will be issued on the written request from the parents along with the payment of Rs. 100.

SCHEME OF EXAMINATION
The whole academic session is divided into two terms.
Term I April - Sept   Term II Oct - March
FOR CLASSES I-2
4 FA s - 30 Marks Each

Each Term Consists Of Two Formative Assessment

FOR  MAPS-i wing (CLASSES I-2)
No grades or marks – performance profile will be filled with emoticons.

Each Term Consists Of Two Formative Assessment

FOR CLASSES 3 & 4 
4 FA s - 30 marks each
1 S.A. - 60 marks (at the end of the session)

First Term : FA1 + FA2

Second Term : FA3 + FA4 + SA

FOR CLASSES V TO X & MAPS-i wing (III - VIII)
4 FA s 40 Marks Each Converted to 10 Marks Each
2 SA s 90/70 Marks Each Converted to 30 Marks Each
  
  • First Term : FA1(10) + FA2(10) + SA1(30) = 50
  • Second Term : FA3(10) + FA4(10) + SA2(30) = 50
  • Co-Scholastic Areas will be assessed once a year 
 
 
Scholastic, Co-Scholastic and Co-Curricular Assessment will be based on:

Formative Assessments (FA) Project, Quizzes, Research Work, Assignments/CW/HW, MCQ, Class Participation, Group Discussion, Cycle Test
Summative Assessments (SA) Written Examination
Co-Scholastic Areas
Life Skills, Work Education, Visual and Performing Arts(Music Vocal, Music Instrumental, Drawing  , Art & craft), , Attitude towards Teachers, School Mates, School Programmes, Environment and Value system.
Co-Curricular Activities
 Scientific Skills, ICT Skills, Clubs, House , Physical and Health Education, Scouts & Guides & NCC.

 
FOR CLASS XI
2 UT s 40 Marks each              25% to be added in finals
H. Y. 100 25% to be added in finals
Annual. 100 50% to be added in finals
 FOR CLASS XII
  2 UTs 40 marks each    
  2 Terminals, H.Y. & Pre Board as per Board pattern.

1. Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) shall also be reflected in the Evaluation Sheet.
2. Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) is the average of grade points obtained in all the subjects. Subject wise and overall indicative percentage of marks can be assessed as under
        * Subject wise indicative percentage of marks = 9.5 * GP of the subject,
       * Overall Indicative percentage of marks = 9.5 * CGPA
