The celebration of Makar Sankranti by the Cambridge Wing at Maharaja Agarsain Public School, Ashok Vihar, exemplified the spirit of sharing and caring as students came together to extend gratitude towards the support staff. In a gesture that echoed the joy of giving, pants and boxes of moongfali and revdi were distributed to the dedicated personnel who contribute significantly to the school's functioning. A wholesome fresh meal was also served to them for lunch.

The event emphasized the cultural significance of Makar Sankranti, portraying it as not only a harvest festival but also a time to extend kindness and generosity. Students actively participated in the act of donating, recognizing the importance of acknowledging and appreciating the efforts of those who work tirelessly behind the scenes.

The distribution of pants and moongfali – revdi hampers symbolized the warmth and inclusivity of the occasion. The organized lunch further strengthened the sense of community, providing an opportunity for the support staff to come together and share a meal. The Virtual Lohri Fiesta exemplified a dynamic online celebration, skillfully curated to engage CAM 1 and 2 students in a festive ambience. Participants not only observed but actively embraced the spirit of the occasion, infusing the virtual space with an infectious energy of joy and cultural vibrancy. The event showcased the artistic prowess of the students through a display of Lohri-themed drawings, where creativity flowed seamlessly across the digital canvas. These visual expressions served as a testament to the students' enthusiasm and dedication to celebrating Lohri in a unique and innovative manner. The festivities extended beyond static images as the virtual platform came alive with lively dance performance by Aadya from Cambridge 2. Moreover, the event was punctuated by heartfelt lines by Harman from Cambridge 1, that captured the very essence of Lohri. Through these verbal expressions, students articulated a deep connection to the cultural significance of the festival, fostering a sense of unity and shared understanding among participants. In the face of physical separation, the spirit of celebration emerged as a unifying force, bringing everyone together in a joyous virtual gathering. Synopsis – The song emphasised the joy of being together, interact and strengthen the bonds. Synopsis of Teacher’s Talk: Cambridge Wing administrator Ms. Sweetu Bhardwaj asked questions based on the theme of the assembly and made the session interactive. She ended this beautiful assembly by motivating students to be loyal friends to each other and lend a helping hand as and when required.

Mastering effective communication is a crucial skill. Students from Cambridge Wing Classes 1-10, engaged in a beautiful activity ‘ORATING MOUTH, refining their impromptu speaking skills and boosting confidence. Topics were assigned through extempore, challenging students to articulate their thoughts for Half A Minute [HAM]. Witnessing the students showcase their oratory prowess with adept voice modulation
and expressions was truly delightful. The ‘ORATING MOUTH’ activity not only honed public speaking abilities but also fostered quick thinking. Students embraced the challenge of expressing coherent thoughts within a brief time frame, showcasing their adaptability.

MAPS Cambridge wing organized ‘SPOOKY SPECTACULAR' on 31st October, 2023, which was an immensely successful event!! The day was dedicated towards celebrating Halloween and the gala reading event: Read-a-thon. The creative costumes of the students and the festooning decor was a huge hit giving true spooky vibes! The special story telling sessions by parents, all decked up in scary attires, was the biggest highlight of the day and gave goosebumps to the audience. The haunted house gave chills down the spine to all who had a walk down its stairs! It was indeed the best and most haunting Halloween Celebrations ever!
The main aim of Read-a-thon was to inculcate good reading habits in the students. A wide variety of themes and genres were given to the students across grades ranging from Fairytales, Sci-fi and Mystery to Horror and Mythology. The students showcased their creativity with innovative character dress ups and spent their day reading their favorite books in a relaxing way!
Furthermore, the read-a-thon display board got much attention, as it showcased all the collaborative reading sessions organized by our wing so far wiz. Author's Meet and multiple Global Read Aloud Sessions with International Partners. Students were engaged in interesting post reading tasks after an all-immersive reading session, instilling RICER attributes of a Cambridge learner in them. It was an enriching and enjoying day for all.

Mathematico transformed math into an art, celebrating its beauty through creative expression and breaking stereotypes one performance at a time.
Mathematico was a unique and entertaining event organized by MAPS Cambridge. The event aimed to celebrate the beauty of mathematics and its real-world applications through creative expressions like songs, dance acts, and rap performances. The event showcased a diverse range of performances, each creatively incorporating mathematical concepts and principles. The performances were designed to make mathematics engaging and accessible to the audience, breaking the stereotype of it being a dull and intimidating subject.
Mathematico was a resounding success, showcasing the power of creativity in making seemingly complex subjects like mathematics approachable and enjoyable.

The State Day celebration at Maharaja Agarsain Public School was a vibrant and memorable event that showcased the rich cultural heritage and diversity of our state. Held on 11 December 23, the day was filled with patriotic fervor and enthusiastic participation from students, teachers, and staff.
The festivities commence with a grand opening ceremony, featuring the signature by the school chairman, principal ma'am, coordinators, teachers and students in the native language. The national anthem echoed through the school premises, creating a sense of unity and pride among the attendees. Students showcased their talents through a variety of cultural performances, including traditional dances, songs, and food cuisine that highlighted the unique traditions of our state. The carefully curated program aimed to educate and entertain, fostering a deeper appreciation for our cultural roots.
The State Day celebration was a resounding success, fostering a sense of unity, pride, and cultural awareness among the school community. All students dress in traditional attire representing the cultural diversity of the state. This parade promotes cultural exchange and understanding among students. Through vibrant performances, educational activities the event left a lasting impact, encouraging students to cherish and contribute to the rich tapestry of our state's heritage.

The Cambridge Wing of Maharaja Agarsain Public School, Ashok Vihar celebrated the spirit of parenthood by organizing the event Summer Spree 2023. It was an event dedicated to the mothers and fathers who put in sincere efforts in raising their wards into great human beings. The gala event started with the art event Captivating Canvas in which the parents and their kids worked in form of a team and painted the blank canvases with their creativity and imagination. Post this, a beautiful rendition of Ganesha Vandana was performed by Prakriti of CAM 4 which created a divine aura in the auditorium. Followed by Ganesha Vandana, the dance troupe of our wing presented a beautiful dance performance to acknowledge the efforts of their parents and it indeed made everyone in the audience emotional. A short break was given to the audience and participants in which they went and relished some healthy drinks and snacks prepared by our students at the CAM Chillers station under the aegis of Student Entrepreneurship Channel (SEC) which was appreciated by all. Post a rejuvenating and healthy snacking break, the students presented small handmade tokens of gratitude to their parents to express their love towards them and a video with some heartfelt messages for the beautiful mothers present there was played on account of Mother’s Day. Next, the champions of our wings who have bagged several medals in the International Silver Zone Olympiad 2022 were awarded by
the honourable Principal ma’am Ms. Alka Sahani and the respected Cambridge Administrator- Ms. Sweetu Bhardwaj, as everyone applauded the victory of these achievers. To introduce a fun element in the event, a small Trivia Game was hosted by Ms. Preeti, involving the parents and students to check how well they know each other. The event culminated with a motivational address by respected principal
ma’am. It was indeed a day full which gave some lifetime memories to everyone present in the event.

ZENITH 2023 was organised on 25 November, 2023 and it was a memorable event for the MAPS Cambridge family! The event started by taking the blessings of the almighty with lamp lighting and a beautiful rendition of Ganesh Vandana by the students of CAM 6 and 7. Followed by this, the energetic dance performance by the students of CAM 8 and 9 on the heart touching song Ek Jindari gave
goosebumps to the audience! A sneak peek of the award winning inter school performances of the students of different grades of the Cambridge wing, made everyone feel amazed with the talent of these little wonders! Next was the award ceremony, that celebrated the achievements of all the high achievers and filled the hearts of one and all present there with pride making it a memorable day for them. The highlight of the event was special prizes given to the outstanding parent partners of our wing for their unwavering support! Followed by the award distribution respected Principal Ma’am Ms. Alka Sahni addressed the august gathering and shared her valuable pearls of wisdom with everyone.
The best part of the event was the splendid portrayal of the Durga Chalisa by the students of CAM  4,5,6 and 7 that left everyone witnessing it awestruck and spellbound! In the end, respected Cambridge Administrator Ms. Sweetu Bhardwaj presented her vote of thanks and interacted with parents to take their
feedback about the Cambridge wing. They all had a unanimous thought that they are extremely happy and satisfied with the growth of their wards at MAPS Cambridge. After the culmination of the event, the parents and students enjoyed some lip-   smacking delicacies specially curetted for them by the SEC CAM Chillers station. It was a gala event that was well planned and executed thereby making it another successful event.

"Recycling things is like magic that turns ordinary things into extraordinary."
The three 'Rs' stand for Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle. They are a part of the waste hierarchy which is used to protect the environment and conserve resources through a priority approach. The aim is to get maximum practical benefits from products and to generate theminimum amount of waste. The Best out of Waste simply means to make or to create innovative and attractive things from the material we do not use anymore. In an initiative to generate the habit of using old things to create beautiful crafts among children, ‘Waste to Wonder' was recently organized at MAPS Cambridge Wing for CAM 1- CAM 8, wherein the students displayed their creative art and craft ideas by making: a teapot and a cup, hat, paper vase, wall hangings, greeting cards, utility box, toys and paper jewelry and many more. The creativity displayed by the children was mesmerizing. The activity promoted artistic fervor in our leaders of tomorrow who will be empowered enough to manage the waste well and convert it to valuable wonders!

Millet is one of the oldest cultivated crops and believed to be the first domesticated cereal grain. Studies have shown that a diet rich in millets including whole grains, is protective against thenon-communicable diseases like diabetes, cancer and cardiovascular diseases. To mark the International Year of Millets 2023 and to create the awareness about the goodness of millets , today the students of Cambridge Wing celebrated the Millets Day on 23rd August , 2023 with full zeal and enthusiasm.
A series of Millet-centric activities like Millet Day Parade Millet Parody Talk Show Debate and Speech were carried out by the students. The students of lower secondary classes showed an aesthetic culinary demonstration of various millet-rich recipes. All the students and teachers brought their millet rich tiffin to school to relish this superfood. Students gained knowledge regarding healthy eating habits and clarified various myths related to the same.
This activity highlights the importance of these millets for our health and environment. It was indeed a day full of learning and inculcating healthy eating habits.

The Free Mathskteers event at Maps Cambridge was a resounding success as students enthusiastically engaged with manipulatives to create innovative math games. The event aimed to foster a love for mathematics through hands-on activities, encouraging creativity and critical thinking among participants. CAM 1-10 successfully demonstrated that math is not only about solving equations but also about the joy
of discovery and creation. The Free Mathskteers initiative at Maps Cambridge continues to play a pivotal role in promoting a positive attitude towards mathematics, breaking down barriers and fostering a community of young math enthusiasts.
In conclusion, CAM 1-10 at Maps Cambridge was a dynamic event that empowered students to embrace mathematics through hands-on exploration.

बचपन और कहानियों का एक अलग ही नाता है। यह कहानियाँ ही तो हैं, जो जिंदगी की छोटी से छोटी सीख बड़े ही सहज और सरल तरीके से दे जाती हैं और इसी सीख पर निर्भर करता है बच्चों का व्यक्तित्व। इस बात को ध्यान में रखते हुए,  कैंब्रिज विभाग के छात्रों ने 'कठपुतली से मन की बात' गतिविधि द्वारा अपने विचार एक कहानी के माध्यम से व्यक्त किए । छात्रों ने बड़ी सुन्दर नैतिक कहानियाँ कठपुतली के माध्यम से सुनाई और उनसे मिलने वाली शिक्षा को भी अन्य छात्रों को समझाया I इस गतिविधि ने छात्रों को प्रोत्साहित कर एक बेहतर इंसान कैसे बने इस बात से अवगत कराया I

Mangoes are universally adored for their delectable flavor, vibrant appearance, and delightful fragrance. In Indian cuisine, they hold a prominent place. The Cambridge Wing of MAPS Ashok Vihar recently organized an event called "Mango Mania" to celebrate the rich diversity of this revered fruit and foster the culinary skills of students. They showcased their innovative mango dishes and also presented captivating jingles and poems that highlighted the numerous health advantages associated with mango consumption.
It was a day filled with the luscious joy of mangoes for the students. Through this hands-on approach, students not only learnt a few innovative mango recipes but also the nutritive value of this fruit. It was a joy to witness the imaginative and visually appealing dishes prepared by our students, which made the learning process both enjoyable and effective. This activity serves as a testament to the power of merging creativity and education, allowing students to absorb and retain knowledge in a fun and engaging manner.

The students of MAPS Cambridge Wing embraced the ethos and values of Indian culture, and celebrated the culmination of the auspicious festival of Navratri by performing a beautiful rendition of the Durga Chalisa. The scintillating dance performance left the audience awestruck, and gave goosebumps to all the
spectators. It was truly a treat to the eyes and soul! It seemed like it was a rendezvous with all the nine forms of Durga Ma in their human incarnation! The event was a testimony to the values and culture inculcated in the character of the students of Cambridge wing alongside the academics and co-curriculars that they excel in. The performance culminated with a Durga Aarti in which the respected Principal Ma’am Ms. Alka Sahni and respected Cambridge Administrator Ms. Sweetu Bhardwaj worshipped the little girls portraying the nine different forms of goddess Durga which was a treat to the eyes and indeed very heart warming. Principal Ma’am also has an interaction with the students and asked several questions to enhance their understanding of the story of goddess Durga and Indian mythology.
It was a great way to celebrate the spirit of womanhood and worshipping goddess Durga during the auspicious period of Navratri.

The Comic Strip Vocabulary activity was organized for students of classes CAM 1 with the aim of fostering creative imagination and introducing them to new vocabulary words. This report highlights the colorful and engaging comics crafted by our talented young artists. The primary objective of the Comic Strip Vocabulary activity was to encourage students to enhance their vocabulary while simultaneously honing their creative skills. Students showcased their artistic talent by crafting visually captivating comic strips. The use of colors, characters, and scenes brought the vocabulary words to life. The activity stimulated creative thinking ,by encouraging the
students to invent scenarios that incorporated new words. Through this hands-on approach, students not only memorized the vocabulary words but also understood their contextual meaning. This activity successfully accomplished the set of goals set for fostering creativity and introducing students to new vocabulary words. It was a joy to look at the imaginative and visually appealing comics produced by our students, which made the learning process both enjoyable and effective.
This activity serves as a testament to the power of integrating art with education, allowing students to absorb and retain knowledge in a fun filled and engaging manner.

Synopsis-It beautifully portrayed the challenges faced by today’s youth and highlighted the fact that there is no age bar to acquire education and develop the required skill set. The importance of education was shown through a success of a student who got a chance to go to school and complete his education; while the other student couldn’t complete his education due to certain financial problems. But due to the mentorship of his teacher and strong determination of the student, he succeeded in his life by acquiring education and proving that there is no age bar in acquiring it. The skit culminated beautifully by concluding that an unsuccessful individual, after acquiring education, started a business of his own and also gave access to free education to some underprivileged students. Synopsis- It was a dance performance that combined different dance styles to create a new aesthetic fusion dance form. A fusion of bhangra was done with garba using dandiya sticks as props. The boys showed high energy while doing bhangra while the girls dancing style was also applauded.

Teachers also participated enthusiastically in the quiz.

With a heart-warming ceremony, the students and staff members of Maharaja Agarsain Public School Ashok Vihar bid an emotional farewell to the two students from Italy- Gregorio and Manuele, who have been studying with them for the past 10 months as a part of a student exchange program.
The gala event started from a preview of some of their most nostalgic moments spent at the school in the form of a video, followed by some anecdotes being reminisced fondly by their peers which are truly worth cherishing forever! A group of students presented some splendid, power packed performances including singing the groovy Bella Chiao song and a peppy dance act on some of the best Punjabi and Indian folk songs. The host families of the two students and the teachers also shared some great stories of their beautiful journey with them, making the event even more emotional and heart touching. The event ended with an address by the honorable principal of the school, Ms. Alka Sahni sharing her words of wisdom and wishing the two students best of luck for their future endeavors.
This cultural exchange between the two nations definitely helped in the symbiosis of the two cultures and the students of Maharaja Agarsain Public School were truly blessed to have had such a dynamic experience and exposure at such a young age. It truly helped them in becoming global citizens and proud hosts of international students leaving a mark on their personalities forever.

As a part of the Library Week being celebrated in Maharaja Agarsain Public School, Ashok Vihar, the Cambridge wing of the school organized Readathon: their annual literary mega event. It transcended the boundaries of a mere event, emerging as a holistic literary immersion that nurtured a lifelong love for reading and learning among students! By fostering creativity, encouraging exploration, and promoting parental involvement, the Readathon underscored the enduring importance of literature in education and personal development.

The centre courtyard of the wing was beautifully decorated and transformed into the real image of the historic era when Maharishi Valmiki ji wrote the Ramayana. From flowing rivers to beautiful wild creepers and beautiful blooming flowers, it had it all to create the perfect jungle vibes! The students were extremely excited to enact the characters from the epic in the backdrop of this breathtaking setup! The ten Rasas of Hindi Literature were also on display to spread extensive knowledge about them.

The event commenced with pre-reading activities aimed at laying the groundwork for students' literary journey. Explorations into epic tales such as the Ramayana and the Mahabharata served as a gateway to understanding societal values embedded within these narratives. Additionally, the vibrant enactments of Panchatantra stories enriched students with moral wisdom, setting the stage for deeper engagement with literature.

Throughout the reading sessions, creativity flourished as students delved into various activities designed to ignite their passion for reading. Puppet shows, book swaps, and reading buddy initiatives provided avenues for interactive learning and collaborative exploration of literature. Post-reading activities, including story wall creations and bookmark crafting, not only stimulated imagination but also honed students' literary skills.

The Readathon offered enriching experiences beyond traditional reading exercises. Characterization displays, insightful podcasts, and interviews with esteemed literary figures such as Sudha Murthy provided valuable insights into the world of literature. A highlight of the event was a walk and talk session with a renowned English author, offering students a unique opportunity to engage directly with a luminary of contemporary literature.The involvement of parents in storytelling sessions further enhanced the educational experience, reinforcing moral values and cultural heritage in students. Their participation underscored the collaborative effort between the school and families to cultivate a love for reading and learning among students.

In her reflection on the Readathon, Principal Ms. Alka Sahani emphasized the transformative power of literature. She highlighted literature's role not only in nurturing minds but also in nourishing souls, shaping individuals into compassionate and enlightened citizens of tomorrow. It was a huge hit with the students and their excitement knew no bounds all through the event, making it a huge success!

On April 30th, 2024, Maharaja Agarsain Public School, Ashok Vihar organized a heartwarming farewell ceremony in their auditorium for the exchange students from the United States: Evan Benoit and Alisa Yarling The event celebrated the time these two students spent at the school as part of an international exchange program.

The ceremony began with a slideshow capturing the beautiful memories Evan and Alisa made during their stay, highlighting the new experiences, friendships, and personal growth they enjoyed was showcased which left the audience truly overwhelmed.

Next, there was a soulful piano performance by Evan, who impressed the audience with his renditions of two very popular Bollywood songs. Alisa then took the stage with a melodious harmonium performance, singing a Hindi song with great finesse, leaving everyone awestruck.

Followed by this, the two host families with whom these students were living since past 10 months, were invited to come on stage and share some heart touching anecdotes from their experiences. They shared some heartfelt memoirs of time spent with Evan and Alisa and it truly left everyone immensely emotional. The bond that they had developed over this period of time is truly a special one.

A high-energy dance performance by the talented students of Class 12, brought everyone to their feet with their energetic choreography, groovy beats and superb synchronization. Towards the end, the students had organized some fun interactive segments like "Guess the Song" and "Tasty Teasers" which added lots of laughter and cheer to the ambience of the auditorium.

In the end, the honorable Principal Ma’am shared her vote of thanks to the two host families for keeping these students safe, healthy and happy during their stay in India and giving them a home away from home. She also presented a beautiful collage of some amazing pictures designed especially for Evan and Alisa which they would cherish all their lives. 

It was a bittersweet but very special occasion to bid farewell to Evan and Alisa after the enriching experiences they had in India through this exchange program. The students and teachers wished them the very best for their future endeavors, having expanded their horizons through this cross-cultural bond.

The assembly kicked off with a beautifully choreographed dance performance by a group of talented students. The dance emphasized the importance of respect in our daily interactions, using expressive movements to convey messages of kindness, understanding, and empathy. The audience was captivated by the graceful and synchronized performance, which served as a powerful reminder of how respect can be communicated without words.

Presentation 4: Song

Following the dance, the students presented a heartfelt song that highlighted the various forms of respect, from self-respect to respect for others and the environment. The lyrics, thoughtfully written by the students themselves, resonated deeply with the audience. The harmonious melody and enthusiastic singing created an uplifting atmosphere, encouraging everyone to reflect on the importance of treating each other with dignity and respect.

The highlight of the assembly was a skit performed by a group of enthusiastic students, focusing on the theme of respecting the environment. The skit depicted a scenario where a community learns the hard way about the consequences of neglecting their surroundings. Through humor and drama, the students illustrated the importance of environmental conservation, recycling, and sustainable living. The powerful message of the skit left a lasting impact on the audience, urging everyone to take responsibility for protecting our planet.

The assembly concluded with a few words from our principal, who praised the students for their hard work and creativity. The principal emphasized the importance of incorporating respect into all aspects of our lives, including our interactions with each other and our treatment of the environment. The principal's words reinforced the day's theme and encouraged everyone to carry the lessons learned from the assembly into their everyday lives.

Overall, the Class 8 assembly on the theme of respect was a resounding success. The students' performances were not only entertaining but also educational, leaving the audience with much to ponder and apply in their own lives. It was a wonderful demonstration of how respect, in all its forms, can create a more harmonious and compassionate community.

MAPS Cambridge celebrated Summer Spree on 10th May, a mesmerizing and nostalgic event that honored the unique bond between grandparents and grandchildren. The theme of the day beautifully encapsulated the idea that grandparents are a blend of parent, teacher and best friend, transforming the school into a captivating retro haven. 

Each area paid tribute to cherished memories: the artistic Kala Canvas, where grandchildren and grandparents collaborated to craft masterpieces; the culturally rich Sanskriti Room, which mesmerized attendees with its serene and holy ambiance; and the Swadisht Khazana, offering delectable delights from yesteryears.     

The day was filled with fun and engaging activities like the lively lemon spoon race, the elegant three-generation fashion walk, and the spirited generational dance-off, which brought infectious laughter and joy. Shared stories and experiences added a profound layer of warmth and connection, rekindling the purest bonds of love.                                                                             

Every moment was meticulously designed to create new memories while honoring the timeless connection between generations, making the day a heartfelt and unforgettable celebration of family and togetherness.

On 15th May 2024, students from classes CAM6, CAM7, and CAM8 of the Cambridge Wing of Maharaja Agarsain Public School, Ashok Vihar visited the British Council Library as part of an educational excursion. The main objective of the visit was to expose the students to a wide range of literature from different genres and inculcate in them a love for reading.

The students were thrilled to explore the vast collection of books available at the library, which covered a diverse array of genres, including fiction, non-fiction, biographies, classics, and more. They eagerly browsed through the shelves, carefully selecting books that piqued their interest and aligning with their reading preferences.The library staff provided a warm welcome and organized a brief orientation session, introducing the students to the library's layout, categorization system, and borrowing procedures. The students were encouraged to make the most of the library's resources and indulge in the joy of reading.

After the library exploration, the students gathered in the library's auditorium to watch the animated film "Wall-E" by Disney. The movie's thought-provoking storyline and stunning visuals captivated the students, leaving them with valuable lessons about environmental conservation, perseverance, and the power of love and friendship. They also had a group photograph clicked to remember this fun filled day spent with their friends.

After returning the visit, a lively discussion session was held, during which the students shared their insights, observations, and takeaways from the film. The facilitators encouraged them to connect the movie's themes with real-life situations and explore ways to contribute towards a sustainable future.

The visit to the British Council Library was an enriching experience for the students, fostering their love for reading and exposing them to a diverse range of literary works. It also provided them with an opportunity to appreciate the art of storytelling through the medium of animated films and engage in meaningful discussions. 

Overall, the excursion achieved its objectives of promoting literacy, cultivating critical thinking, and nurturing a lifelong passion for reading in the students. The school looks forward to organizing more such educational and engaging activities in the future.

We are thrilled to announce that Yashas Gupta, a student from CAM 10, has won a prestigious creative writing competition organized by the Thailand Embassy. His prize is an all-expenses-paid trip to Thailand, a remarkable achievement that highlights our school's dedication to nurturing both academic excellence and creative talent.

The contest, titled "Mera Thailand Creative Writing Contest," was the culmination of a two-stage competition. It began with the "Namaste Thailand" quiz, which tested participants' knowledge about Thai culture, history, and current affairs. Winners of this initial quiz were then invited to participate in the creative writing phase.

In the final stage, contestants were presented with a thought-provoking image from the Thailand Embassy and asked to craft an original piece of writing inspired by it. Yashas rose to the challenge, producing a submission that stood out for its creativity, originality, and skilful use of language.

The judges were particularly impressed by Yashas' ability to weave together elements of Thai culture with his own unique perspective, creating a compelling narrative that captured the essence of the provided image.

This win not only recognizes Yashas' individual talent but also reflects positively on our school's commitment to providing a well-rounded education that encourages students to explore their creative potential alongside their academic pursuits.

Such experiences enrich the understanding of students of different cultures and broaden their global perspective and we are glad that our students are earning these opportunities on merit.

The class teacher: Ms. Parul Chauhan, expressed her pride in the students’ dedication and creativity, praising them for their efforts in delivering a meaningful message to their fellow students. She emphasized the importance of sports in our lives. She addressed the current situations faced by students and ways to tackle them, making it a fruitful experience for all.

On July 28, 2024, MAPS hosted an impressive MAPS EXPO in the school premises. In the Cambridge Wing, student showcased their projects and initiatives centered around three key themes: Quality Education, Clean and Affordable Energy, and Health and Well-Being. The event transformed the wing into a vibrant display of creativity and innovation, with each room dedicated to exploring one of these crucial global topics. 

The Quality Education room particularly stood out, featuring a 3D printer demonstration and a student-developed VR video game, which highlighted the school's commitment to integrating cutting-edge technology into the learning process. The school’s world class quality education was widely visible with the exhibits of this room. The distinguished members of the management were particularly amazed by the high-tech educational displays, noting how they reflected the school's dedication to providing a forward-thinking, quality education.

The Clean and Affordable Energy room displayed an entire cityscape of a place which was an aesthetic example of modern urban planning done while utilizing clean and affordable energy. The displays included working models of turbines, solar panels and a well planned town which was a perfect example of eco-friendly ways of creating energy. 

The Health and Well-Being room showcased the numerous ways in which we can maintain a good health be it physical, emotional or mental. This room had live sessions of students exhibiting zumba, meditation and yoga as ways of being healthy. Students shared their valuable wisdom about the benefits of Arurveda. An engaging de-stress corner was everyone’s favourite as the adults enjoyed practicing their colouring skills on beautiful mandala artworks.

The event was met with widespread acclaim from the respected members of the management and parents, who were impressed by the depth of knowledge and creativity demonstrated by the students. Parents expressed their appreciation for the hard work and effort invested by both teachers and students in preparing such an informative and engaging exhibition.

Overall, the MAPS Expo 2024 event successfully demonstrated the school's commitment to addressing important global issues through education. By incorporating advanced technology and student-led projects, the event not only showcased the innovative learning environment fostered at MAPS but also highlighted the potential of the next generation to tackle these critical challenges. The event served as a testament to the school's holistic approach to education, emphasizing the importance of practical, hands-on learning experiences in preparing students for the complexities of the modern world.

The first session of the collaborative series between South Korea, Indonesia, and our school was a resounding success. Students from all three countries were grouped into smaller teams to encourage interaction and build camaraderie. Each participant had the opportunity to introduce themselves, sharing insights into their personal interests, cultural backgrounds, and aspirations. This activity created a dynamic space for cross-cultural dialogue, fostering mutual understanding and appreciation among students.

The energy in the room was infectious as students enthusiastically exchanged ideas, breaking down barriers and forming meaningful connections. These interactions highlighted the richness of diversity while underlining shared values, creating a foundation for deeper partnerships.

To conclude the session, students engaged in a collaborative activity where they combined their unique perspectives to brainstorm ideas for future projects. This exercise not only encouraged teamwork but also showcased their creativity and eagerness to learn from one another.

This initial engagement set a promising tone for the series, emphasizing the importance of global partnerships in broadening perspectives and nurturing international friendships. Students left the session inspired, excited for the journey ahead, and committed to exploring topics like culture, innovation, and sustainability in subsequent meetings.

The second session of the collaborative series focused on Diwali, India’s festival of lights. Students from South Korea, Indonesia, and our school joined forces to learn about the cultural significance and vibrant traditions associated with this joyous occasion. The session began with a brief presentation detailing the origins of Diwali and its celebration in India. Participants learned about lighting diyas, decorating homes with rangoli, exchanging gifts, and sharing festive sweets, all of which represent the triumph of light over darkness and good over evil.

Svaksha, one of our talented students, took the lead in an interactive workshop on crafting paper diyas. With enthusiasm and patience, she guided participants step by step, allowing everyone to create their own colorful diya. This hands-on activity symbolized the essence of Diwali—spreading light, positivity, and togetherness.

The session was not only a creative outlet but also a platform for cultural exchange. Students shared their own festival traditions, drawing parallels between Diwali and celebrations in South Korea and Indonesia. This enriching experience deepened mutual respect and understanding while strengthening the bonds among the students. The event concluded on a joyous note, leaving participants inspired and eager for the next collaborative experience.
