On 15th May 2024, students from classes CAM6, CAM7, and CAM8 of the Cambridge Wing of Maharaja Agarsain Public School, Ashok Vihar visited the British Council Library as part of an educational excursion. The main objective of the visit was to expose the students to a wide range of literature from different genres and inculcate in them a love for reading.
The students were thrilled to explore the vast collection of books available at the library, which covered a diverse array of genres, including fiction, non-fiction, biographies, classics, and more. They eagerly browsed through the shelves, carefully selecting books that piqued their interest and aligning with their reading preferences.The library staff provided a warm welcome and organized a brief orientation session, introducing the students to the library's layout, categorization system, and borrowing procedures. The students were encouraged to make the most of the library's resources and indulge in the joy of reading.
After the library exploration, the students gathered in the library's auditorium to watch the animated film "Wall-E" by Disney. The movie's thought-provoking storyline and stunning visuals captivated the students, leaving them with valuable lessons about environmental conservation, perseverance, and the power of love and friendship. They also had a group photograph clicked to remember this fun filled day spent with their friends.
After returning the visit, a lively discussion session was held, during which the students shared their insights, observations, and takeaways from the film. The facilitators encouraged them to connect the movie's themes with real-life situations and explore ways to contribute towards a sustainable future.
