The role of school counsellors includes the assessment of a student’s emotional and behavioural concerns, providing counselling support to help a student address his/her challenges, and referring a student to other professionals if required. They also partner with teachers and/or family members to assist with students’ concerns.
The counselling sessions are specially curated to support students in various domains such as academic achievement, personal development, social development, career awareness, cyber safety, and peer education. The aim is to create an emotionally safe space and caring environment in the school by encouraging students to explore and discover ways of living happily and successfully.
Every year, many workshops like Cyber Safety, Adolescent Education Program, Peer Mentoring, and Buddy to Bully are conducted. The aim is to work towards building a conducive ecosystem for students to be happy and self-confident young boys and girls.
