MAPS students from classes 11 and 12 in the Commerce and Marketing streams visited the Mother Dairy plant as part of an educational trip. Upon arrival, they were warmly welcomed and offered flavoured milk by the plant's team. The visit commenced with an engaging discussion led by Mr. R K R Pillai, who provided a detailed overview of Mother Dairy's history and intricate processing systems. He explained the various steps involved in ensuring product quality, such as testing purity, homogenization, and pasteurization. The students observed fascinating laboratory tests using acids and bases, showcasing the scientific rigor behind the dairy products. The discussion also delved into Mother Dairy's supply chain and product line, enabling the students to relate these real-world practices to the Marketing Mix elements they studied in their syllabus. The visit concluded with the students enjoying delicious ice cream.
